Available for monthly rentals October thru May. Anne's Secret Garden is a charming, comfortable house located four miles from Blue Hill Village and 32 miles from Acadia National Park. The house includes two bedrooms with a queen and two twins, two full bathrooms, a large living and dining area with granite fireplace, and well-equipped kitchen. The back lawn is peaceful and private. While not on the water, it is just four miles to the Blue Hill Town Park with a wonderful children's play area and swimming beach, an excellent grocery store, pharmacy, health food store, library, and hospital. Enjoy climbing Blue Hill Mountain and hiking on a variety of well-maintained trails, try out the many delicious options for dining or take out, and peruse the unique shops and galleries highlighting local craftspeople and artists. Guests have fun exploring the Blue Hill Peninsula, Bar Harbor, and Acadia National Park, or find the house with all of the books a peaceful way to spend part of their time. Please ask if you would like to bring your dog. Rents monthly from October through May.

Cancellation Policy for all of our Rental Properties:
Cancellation requests must be provided in writing. The Cancellation Policy is strictly followed and we encourage renters to purchase trip insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances.
If the Renter desires to cancel this reservation at any time prior to the arrival date, BHBPR will make reasonable efforts to find a replacement Renter for the same time period at comparable rental rates. If no replacement Renter is procured, the entire invoiced amount for the reservation will be due as scheduled, and all deposits paid shall be forfeited to BHBPR. If the reservation period is re-rented, BHBPR will credit the rental amount received to the Renter, less a $200 cancellation fee to cover BHBPR expenses.

We had a great stay at this house!
We had a great stay at this house! We liked being out in the woods, but a short drive from Blue Hill. The house is quirky but delightful and very spacious. It had everything that we needed for a very relaxing vacation in our favorite place!

The house is full of character...
Anne's is a good, budget-friendly option for staying in Blue Hill. It felt more like being a guest in someone's home than being a renter. The house is full of character, and we enjoyed the book and record collections.
It was such a beautiful rest, our family really enjoyed the week...
Beautiful and quiet, space is much larger than the pictures! We loved our stay, felt like a home away from home. The host really makes the place feel warm and welcoming, with doggie treats (for guests with dogs) and fresh local coffee as welcome kit! The place is immaculately clean. We spent the evening sitting in the yard watching the stars and listening to nature. Def recommend!
Overall pleasant stay...
This is certainly an interesting time capsule. We really enjoyed the records and ability to let our dogs roam free. The property could use some light maintenance and upgrades, but overall pleasant stay.

Beautiful place! So serene and so much space to hang out. Nicely stocked kitchen, great WiFi, favorite part was the amazing fireplace. Had a great week with family! Would love to come again!

A good place to stay for our family's needs...
Anne's Secret Garden was a good place to stay for our family's needs. We were able to bring our two doggies and one elder cat. Chemical free Doggie treats and local coffee was a warm touch and appreciated! The spacious rooms were very nice accommodations; cookware, spices and water provided were very generous. It was helpful to have a washer and dryer, tons of extra linens and cleaning products (it was just like being at home). The yard was private and offered an opportunity for the doggies to stretch and play, albeit parts are close to the roadway allowing for traffic concerns and vehicular noise. We did have long rope to keep doggies safe. Hosts were very responsive. Highly recommend if your travels bring you to Down East and you want to bring your furry family along!
