Beautiful Camp Bagaduce isn't a camp, but a lovely and tastefully decorated house, offering a family friendly and comfortable guest experience. Tall windows overlooking the Bagaduce River and the cathedral ceiling complement the open floor plan. The well-appointed kitchen includes a full-sized gas stove, refrigerator and dishwasher. There is one king bedroom on the main floor as well as an easily-accessed roomy loft with three twin beds. The bathroom includes double sinks and a roomyshower. An automatic generator stands ready in case of a power outage.
The Bagaduce is a tidal river that empties into Penobscot Bay, and is one of the most productive estuaries in Maine. Camp Bagaduce looks over to historic Castine, and guests can see the State of Maine, the Maine Maritime Academy training ship when in port.
Sturdy, fairly steep steps lead down to the inviting gravel and rock beach. From the porch guests enjoy soothing breezes and sounds of eagles, osprey, great blue herons, and other waterfowl. Seals are often spotted.
Located off a quiet side road in Brooksville, Ferry Landing is a 10-minute walk down the quiet side road and is the start of Blue Hill Heritage Trust Ferry Landing Trail. Camp Bagaduce is about a 20 minute drive to Blue Hill, the town at the head of the peninsula with a full-service grocery store, large health food store, fitness center, hospital, library, bustling main street, unique shops and galleries, and a variety of restaurants. This property rents Saturday to Saturday from June through September.
PLEASE READ: The bank down to the beach is steep and children should always be monitored when outside. There are cottages on each side of the property that potentially could have owners there periodically. Dogs are welcomed but owner prefers that breeds over 60 pounds or potentiallyaggressive not be brought to the property.

Camp Bagaduce is a beautiful newer cottage, in a peaceful setting with a lovely lawn. We loved the location in Brooksville, with relative close proximity to Tinderhearth, Buck’s Harbor, etc. As always, Brenda and Chelsea were great to work with.
We're so glad you enjoyed your stay at Camp Bagaduce! You're always a pleasure to host. Best wishes, Brenda and Chelsea
Our family had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Camp Bagaduce. The house is airy, modern and very comfortable, and the surroundings are so peaceful and beautiful. We loved exploring trails and swims nearby, and reading and playing on the breezy porch. We’d love to return again, and highly recommend this spot to others!
We had the most wonderful stay at Camp Bagaduce and will most definitely return. The house is beautifully located with the most amazing water view from the living area. The house was perfectly equipped with everything we needed to make our stay very comfortable. Spotlessly clean and nicely furnished in a modern style. We appreciated very much the easy and friendly communication with our hosts and that our labradoodle Paige was so warmly welcomed. She had the best time running around the garden and exploring the shoreline. We had the most amazing day trips to Stonington, Castine, Acadia National Park and the best lobster rolls at Thurston's Lobster Pound in Bernard. The Blue Hill Co-Op is a great place to shop for local produce and we can also recommend Bagaduce Lunch (about 7 mins drive from the house) for easy outdoor lunch, the crab salad was a particular favorite. Thank you for a most memorable stay.
Great location. Very peaceful and relaxing. Clean and looked exactly like the pictures posted. Very happy with your stay.
A well equipped cottage in a very pleasant location. The furnishings are comfortable, kitchen well equipped and bathroom well planned. Cottage is well situated on the property for a pleasant stay.
We loved our stay at Camp Bagaduce! The house was brand new, clean and very well equipped. The layout was great for our family and we so appreciated being able to bring our dog! The porch was great for relaxing and enjoying the wide water view...beautiful sunsets! We would love to come back!!
Beautiful, new home right on the banks of the Bagaduce River. Quiet, lovely and such a responsive host. A great spot to get away, with easy access to lots of wonderful day trips to towns like Stonington (don't miss the puffin tour!), Blue Hill, Brooklin, Ellsworth and Bar Harbor.
Beautiful house and property. Stunning river views from wall of windows on both floors, and charming stairs down to water’s edge. Great kitchen and living spaces, pretty extensive pantry. Great communication from hosts, thoughtful welcome gifts for coffee drinkers and pups. Would definitely stay again!
This was a great place to stay for our family getaway. The hosts were very proactive and helpful with great local recommendations before we arrived which helped with vacation planning. The home was beautiful and we fell in love with the area in large part to our hosts. We had a very relaxing trip.
This is a very comfortable house with awesome views. The house being stocked with consumables was awesome!!
