Sitting atop a granite bluff overlooking beautiful Eggemoggin Reach, King's Landing sits just feet from the ocean's edge, providing scenic views of Pumpkin Lighthouse and Little Deer Isle, set against the backdrop of East Penobscot Bay. Enjoy the afternoon sun or an evening cookout from the seaside deck while watching the sun set behind the Camden Hills. Originally a land grant from the King of England in the early 1600s, King's Landing overlooks a private harbor that once served as a landing for passenger steamships. Just 18 miles by water from Camden Harbor, home of one of the world's largest fleet of historic wooden schooners, you may be treated to the sight of these magnificent sailing vessels passing by, reminiscent of days gone by. Guests also have the use of three private association waterfront areas - an ocean dock, an ocean bathing beach, and a lake beach on adjacent Walker Pond, all a short drive away. The nearby Lookout Rock nature preserve has a moderately easy walking trail, which gives some spectacular views of Eggemoggin Reach, Penobscot Bay, and the Camden Hills. About an hour's drive to Acadia National Park. King's Landing sits on top of a steep granite bank and, because of this, there is no access for swimming, kayaking, or walking along the shoreline. Cancellation Policy for all of our Rental Properties:
Cancellation requests must be provided in writing. The Cancellation Policy is strictly followed and we encourage renters to purchase trip insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances.
If the Renter desires to cancel this reservation at any time prior to the arrival date, BHBPR will make reasonable efforts to find a replacement Renter for the same time period at comparable rental rates. If no replacement Renter is procured, the entire invoiced amount for the reservation will be due as scheduled, and all deposits paid shall be forfeited to BHBPR. If the reservation period is re-rented, BHBPR will credit the rental amount received to the Renter, less a $200 cancellation fee to cover BHBPR expenses.

The cottage was very clean and the kitchen was well-stocked...
We really enjoyed our stay! The hosts were very responsive and answered any questions we had and offered suggestions of things to do on rainy days. The place was very clean and the kitchen was well-stocked! Neat wildlife and water view! Plenty of books and puzzles and games.
The cottage is nestled in a very private and peaceful area...
The beach access at low tide next to the cottage had starfish, hermit crabs, crabs, and snails which our boys loved searching and looking at. (We easily saw over 100 starfish.) We had stopped at other tidepool areas in Acadia National Park, and along the coast, but none compared with the number of creatures we saw right next to this beautiful little cottage on the water.
I hope one day I will be able to stay here again!
My friend and I stayed here for 4 days. It was lovely, secluded, and peaceful. It had everything you could need. The hosts were accommodating and very responsive. I would stay here again any time I’m back in Maine.

We loved our September stay as much as our June stay...
We loved our second stay of the summer at King’s Landing. It was just as lovely being there in September as it was in June. The location is so beautiful and the setting is tranquil and relaxing. The expansive water views from the deck and the gorgeous sunsets are amazing. The Hosts do a great job preparing the house for guests and are always very quick to respond. We also enjoy exploring and learning about the history of the local area. We can’t wait to go back again next year!

Blue Hill was magical!!! It was perfect for getting the true Maine experience!!! Our hosts were lovely and the cottage had everything we needed! Would definitely go back!!!
Amazing house, incredible location
A perfect place to enjoy the delights of the Maine Coast. Spacious house, spectacular views. Morning swims and evening sunsets, harbor seals and eagles. Brenda and Chelsea were incredibly reactive and helpful throughout our stay.

Felt like being in paradise sitting on the deck...
Great communications, easy to find, kitchen had everything we needed to cook, very peaceful out of the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor but close enough to enjoy Acadia Park. The deck is the perfect spot to enjoy morning coffee or a nighttime cocktail while watch the sail boats pass and the marine life. We found lots to do on Deer Isle. We would stay here again!

The hosts were great! They answered all our questions within minutes and fixed a water issue quickly! The place was clean, in a great location, and was an all around beautiful place to stay! We would definitely consider going back!
