King’s Point cottage is situated on picturesque Eggemoggin Reach, one of the most scenic areas of the Maine coast. Adjacent to Penobscot Bay, home of one of the world's largest fleets of historic wooden schooners, guests are often treated to the sight of these magnificent sailing vessels passing by. Just a stone's throw from the ocean, King's Point's shoreline is rocky and not easily accessed, however guests have the use of three private association waterfront areas - an ocean dock, ocean swimming beach, and Walker Pond lake beach. Hike the easy and nearby Lookout Rock Nature Preserve for spectacular views of Eggemoggin Reach, Penobscot Bay, and the Camden Hills. Whether you want to take day trips to explore the Downeast area and Acadia National Park, or simply enjoy the natural beauty of the Maine coast, King’s Point is an ideal cottage for a Maine seaside vacation. Guests choosing King's Point happily settle in and appreciate its simple, comfortable charm, lovingly maintained by the owners, whose family has owned the land since deeded to them by the King of England. Tastefully furnished with comfortable beds, quality linens, a washer and dryer, and kitchen that includes the essentials and more, the cottage is open, airy, and clean. A gas-fired stove along with electric heat is available for occasional chilly evenings. Outside, guests will have privacy on the oceanside deck overlooking the historic Eggemoggin Reach and Little Deer Isle.
Serene and relaxing, guests often return - further assurance that those who choose King's Point will be pleased with their selection. 15 minutes to Blue Hill, an hour to Acadia National Park's entrance, and 20 minutes to Stonington Village, guests are near a variety of excellent eateries, unique shops and galleries, and easily-accessed hiking trails. Please note: The queen bedroom and half bath are in a separate room attached by a short breezeway.

Cancellation requests must be provided in writing. The Cancellation Policy is strictly followed and we encourage renters to purchase trip insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances.
If the Renter desires to cancel this reservation at any time prior to the arrival date, BHBPR will make reasonable efforts to find a replacement Renter for the same time period at comparable rental rates. If no replacement Renter is procured, the entire invoiced amount for the reservation will be due as scheduled, and all deposits paid shall be forfeited to BHBPR. If the reservation period is re-rented, BHBPR will credit the rental amount received to the Renter, less a $200 cancellation fee to cover BHBPR expenses.

King's Point is a great neighborhood, the location right on the sea is beautiful and undisturbed, everything is very tasteful and personally furnished, the contact with Brenda and Chelsea is uncomplicated, fast and helpful, I highly recommend it!

Magical is the best word to describe our experience at King's Point cabin. Every single day we encountered nature at its most amazing - all from the deck just outside the kitchen: sunrises, sunsets, tidal waters, fresh pines, seals, osprey, eagles, herons (and many other waterfowl) and loons. The loons called to us to start our days and called again as the sun set to move into quiet. The cabin was well appointed - everything we needed. Clean, comfortable, cozy (in a good way). Hiking trails nearby in Blue Hill and Deer Isle were easily accessible (and beautiful). Our hosts were responsive and clear in communications. Five stars all the way around. Would rent this cabin again (but hopefully for a longer stay).

The location just 50 feet from the ocean with wide open views of Little Deer Isle was stunning. The dwelling is aptly described as a "cabin"-- rustic inside and out-- but the beds were comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, heat when we needed it at night in September and an amazing supply of hot water. The property managers, Chelsea and Brenda, could not have been more helpful in addressing my questions about the cabin, restaurants nearby and in Stonington and Castine, and options for activities. They usually beat their advertized response time and are the best hosts we've encountered in more than ten years of booking Airbnbs. 5 stars plus!
The location is perfect for day trips...
We loved our stay! The cabin and location are as described - classically rustic. There were lots of extra linens and towels and the beds were comfortable. We had a small kitchen request which was taken care of immediately. Being able to swim at the quiet side of Walker Pond was a dream. We spent most of our time on the deck enjoying the wind and views.

Comfortable cottage offers a quiet place to watch boats sailing the Reach, sea birds fishing, yet still have easy access to both the mainland and Deer Isle. Sailing, kayaking, hiking, art, music, and markets from Brooksville, Brooklin, Blue Hill to Stonington all just minutes away. Enjoyed our stay.
