Adjacent to Penobscot Bay, home of one of the world's largest fleets of historic wooden schooners, guests are often treated to the sight of these magnificent sailing vessels passing by. Just a stone's throw from the ocean, King's Point's shoreline is rocky and not easily accessed, however guests have the use of three private association waterfront areas - an ocean dock, ocean swimming beach, and Walker Pond lake beach. Hike the easy and nearby Lookout Rock Nature Preserve for spectacular views of Eggemoggin Reach, Penobscot Bay, and the Camden Hills. Whether you want to take day trips to explore the Downeast area and Acadia National Park, or simply enjoy the natural beauty of the Maine coast, King’s Point is an ideal cottage for a Maine seaside vacation. Guests choosing King's Point happily settle in and appreciate its simple, comfortable charm, lovingly maintained by the owners, whose family has owned the land since deeded to them by the King of England. Tastefully furnished with comfortable beds, quality linens, a washer and dryer, and kitchen that includes the essentials and more, the cottage is open, airy, and clean. A gas-fired stove along with electric heat is available for occasional chilly evenings. Outside, guests will have privacy on the oceanside deck overlooking the historic Eggemoggin Reach and Little Deer Isle.
Serene and relaxing, guests often return - further assurance that those who choose King's Point will be pleased with their selection. 15 minutes to Blue Hill, an hour to Acadia National Park's entrance, and 20 minutes to Stonington Village, guests are near a variety of excellent eateries, unique shops and galleries, and easily-accessed hiking trails. Notes
Cancellation requests must be provided in writing. The Cancellation Policy is strictly followed and we encourage renters to purchase trip insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances.
If the Renter desires to cancel this reservation at any time prior to the arrival date, BHBPR will make reasonable efforts to find a replacement Renter for the same time period at comparable rental rates. If no replacement Renter is procured, the entire invoiced amount for the reservation will be due as scheduled, and all deposits paid shall be forfeited to BHBPR. If the reservation period is re-rented, BHBPR will credit the rental amount received to the Renter, less a $200 cancellation fee to cover BHBPR expenses.
