A path takes guests to the family dock to launch kayaks and swim off the granite boulders. This cottage has three bedrooms, one full bath with shower, a roomy kitchen with dishwasher, large dining table, as well as a washer and dryer, TV with Roku stick, and fiber optic Wi-fi. Conveniently located halfway between Blue Hill and Ellsworth for day trips to Acadia National Park and surrounding towns.

The remaining amount is to be paid 60 days before arrival.

All paid prepayments are non-refundable.

Notes
Cancellation requests must be provided in writing. The Cancellation Policy is strictly followed and we encourage renters to purchase trip insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances.
If the Renter desires to cancel this reservation at any time prior to the arrival date, BHBPR will make reasonable efforts to find a replacement Renter for the same time period at comparable rental rates. If no replacement Renter is procured, the entire invoiced amount for the reservation will be due as scheduled, and all deposits paid shall be forfeited to BHBPR. If the reservation period is re-rented, BHBPR will credit the rental amount received to the Renter, less a $200 cancellation fee to cover BHBPR expenses.

Everything about this property exceeded our expectations! The home was cleanly, cozy and well stocked. The homeowners were kind and communicative and provided tons of helpful information about the area. We would return in a heartbeat for that incredible view! It was a dream of a vacation on the Maine coast!
We were so fortunate to stay at this remarkably peaceful, private cottage set in the pines with lovely views of beautiful Curtis Cove. There are lots of water-facing windows and a nice deck to enjoy the quiet beauty as the tide changes. We enjoyed glimpses of wildlife including seals, Great Blue Herons, and seagulls. The hosts were lovely -- they were very accommodating and responded promptly. The cottage was very comfortable and clean. Altogether, it was a dream of a vacation on the Maine coast!
The property is lovely and in an amazing location...
We stayed at Longview Cottage for a bit more than a week and had an amazing time. This place is perfect for a family and somebody who likes to cook and wants some privacy and an amazing view of the sea and Mount Desert Island in the distance. The kitchen is one of the best equipped I’ve witnessed in an Airbnb as it seems used by the family. During our stay we made a lot of Maine dishes including a whole 3 lb lobster, popovers, blueberry pancakes, clam chowder and pasta, and 2 BBQs among other things. The terrace is fantastic, we watched the massive tides and we saw a lot of wildlife from it including a seal. The house is otherwise surrounded by forest and the host advised to walk to the neighbor’s property to access a small sand beach which was perfect for the kids to play and go for a swim on a hot day. It’s about 50 minutes to Bar Harbor if intending to go to Acadia National Park but the peninsula itself has a lot to offer e.g. lovely hikes as close as a 5 minute drive away. Would definitely come again!!

We had a spectacular week at the Longview Cottage! The cottage is just beautiful and the bay is incredibly peaceful and full of sea life. Brenda and Chelsea were very responsive and great hosts! We will definitely be back again.
This is a small piece of heaven on the water...
This is a small piece of heaven on the water. The cottage has pretty much everything you might need. It is spacious with a big eat in kitchen. 10 of us gathererd around that table as my family were in nearby cabins. The livingroom has a fireplace, TV, and game table with lots of games in the cabinet. The access to the private beach made this a fabulous place to stay. The dock is a bit difficult to get the Kayak up and down, but the town dock is just down the road, has parking and a ramp. We left ours there, and it was great. We rented from The Acrivity Shop in Blue Hill and they dropped it off at the town dock and picked it up there. It is a an easier spot. We want to go back. We were sorry to leave. The one drawback is that the well water can not be used to drink. Not a big deal, we got bottled water at Hannerford. This is truly a lovely spot and close to Blue Hill, Ellsworth, and Mount Desert Island.
